AION US – Is Awesome!

Chad September 22nd, 2009

Once the servers came online I logged in and started the grind. After 18 hours, I was level 18 and had to take a break. The game is everything I remember from AION China and my guild is currently ranked #1 on our server. I only got to play a few hours yesterday and was able to get my sin to level 21 before I had to log.

I’ll keep you all updated on my progress through the game and my guild. But the game has been a lot of fun so far and looks like it will be another big hit.

See you all in-game!

Death Knight – End Game Continues

Chad September 14th, 2009

Well my Death Knight has been progressing really well with the Guild and last week we downed 25 Man ToC Anub’arak. The fight was pretty much the same as 10 Man, except with a few changes, like twice as many spawns and last phase AoE does a lot more damage.

I’ve also got my 4pc T8.5 set now and the Anguish from 10 man and I’m now pulling over 5k DPS. Now working on my T9.25 set just need a few more badges and I’ll buy my 2pc set at the same time. :P

On a side note, during our 25 man run of ToC the Dual-Bladed Butcher dropped and another one of our DKs got it! Grats Bud!

5 – Paladin boxing Team

Chad September 14th, 2009

Yesterday I decided to move my 5 Paladins onto my new server to join my Death Knight and other toons. I spent about an hour working on my macros and getting them all ready for PvP again. I’ve also been working on round-robin keys and wow they are pretty OP now.

I ran several AV’s and just owned the scrubs and I’m pretty sure as I get used to playing and farming up better PvP gear, I’ll become a serious force. At this time my Paladins are still in garbage greens and blues from questing and a couple last season hateful gear. I’m also going to try to run 5’s and see how it goes as I kind of like how the new Arena point system works. :P

So I’ll keep you all posted but at this time it’s 5 Rets vs. the standard 1 Tank + 4 Rets. :P

Dual / Multi Boxing

Chad September 2nd, 2009

Many of you might never have heard of Dual Boxing or even Multi Boxing for that matter but it’s when you play more then 1 account at a time in a game. I’ve been a multi boxer for a couple of years now and really enjoy the challenge of playing more then one character at a time.

I’ve Multi boxed games like Warhammer Online and World of Warcraft and still actually five box wow. I currently have 5 Paladins for my PvP Team and about to finish my PvE team for running heroics which consist of (3) Hunters, (1) Resto Shaman and (1) DK Tank.

My Death Knight is the same DK I used for raiding with my guild and the best part is once I get my team done and decent gear. I’ll be able to solo run Heroics again and also swap guild members with my DPS or Healer and run them through also. I’m pretty excited about getting back to PvE content after a long run of PvP. As I down bosses boxing, I’ll try and keep you all posted on the progress, some are very difficult due to the complex movement some bosses require.

Warlock Level 80!

Chad August 25th, 2009

This past weekend, I was able to get several hours of leveling in and finished off my warlock. My lock hit level 80 with 3 days 15 hours /played. Not to bad as it’s been a while since I’ve leveled a warlock and it was much easier then I remember. I did spend about 15-20 hours leveling Tailoring and Enchanting at level 70, so 60-80 was about 3 days played. Which so far seems pretty average for ever class, 60-70 seems to take about 1 day and 70-80 is about 2 days.

Funny thing was my guild is still pretty amazed how fast I can level and would message me as I was playing to check and make sure it was me, not some power leveler. Many of them couldn’t believe it was actually me as this is now the 2nd toon they’ve seen me level. Considering I created my Lock on the 14th and dinged 80 on the 23rd that’s pretty good time I would think. I might finish leveling my Shaman to 80 and setup a new 5 boxing team in preparation for the level 85 expansion. But we’ll see… now it’s time to gear up my lock and get him ready for Uld.

Swapping a Death Knight for a Warlock

Chad August 19th, 2009

Since my last post with my fresh Death Knight, I’ve since been raiding with my guild and ran many 10/25 Naxx / Ulduar and the new Trial of the Crusader. My death knights got some great gear and 1/5 of Conqueror Set and I’m on average pulling 4-5k DPS.

But our core Warlock has had to step down due to new hours at work. So I offered to level up a warlock as we have enough death knights as it is. :P

Lucky for me I still have my RAF links on my 5 boxing accounts and had 27 free gift levels saved up! I tried to instance level during normal hours after work but with blizzards’ “No Available Instance…” I had to take a day off of work.  Really blizzard you have to fix this! It’s near impossible to play any of the classic instances anymore and very difficult to run an outlands instance.

With the day off I took, I was able to instance level from 8-34 in about 5 hours and the last 2 levels I started to get the “No Available Instance” issue. But I did finish it and got my toon to 60 and then the fun started! With the changes to mounts in 3.2, I gave some gold to my new lock, got some gear and bought a normal flying mount!

I then headed into outlands with a flying mount! It did help but it hasn’t affect leveling all that much. If you remember with my Death Knight, I was able to level 60-70 in about 24 hours played. Well I was able to level 60-70 with my lock also in about 24 hours /played! This might be faster as I haven’t leveled a lock in sometime but it does help getting to the quests faster as it’s a straight shot vs. running around stuff.

Now at 70 I was able to upgrade to an Epic Flying Mount and I bought the new Bind on Account Cold Weather Flying upgrade! So once I hit Northrend I was able to fly and this has really made leveling so much faster. I’m averaging about 2 hours a level, I’m only level 72 right now but we’ll see just how much faster 70-80 is with an Epic Flyer and Cold Weather at 70.

I’ll keep you posted!

Death Knight “End Game”

Chad July 28th, 2009

So my gear is horrid but it’s WSG Weekend and I spent all day Sunday playing wow and farmed 50k honor! I’ve also been running WG’s and I’m looking at running a DW spec for kicks. I’ve always wanted to try a Dual Wield spec with a DK but always went with Big 2 Hander.

Last night I ran my first 10 Man Vault with and a good Pug of T8’s. /LOL I pulled a massive 800 DPS on the first round of trash and almost got kicked. So I quickly swapped spec back to my PvE Unholy spec and pulled 2.2k. Not bad with how bad my gear was, but got a couple nice badges and I’ll keep farming BGs, WG & 10/25 man runs.

I’ll keep you all posted how the gearing goes. :D

Death Knight Ding 80 :P 3 Days /played

Chad July 26th, 2009

So I just leveled myself another personal Toon. :P  Of you that don’t know I’m an avid wow gamer and I 5 box. I have a bunch of 80’s on Alliance but rerolled horde a few months ago with my GL. I have 5 80 BE Paladins and wanted to roll a DK on Horde Side. So I started my Toon 2 weeks ago and he took me 3 Days played to hit 80. This is my personal best so far leveling a toon from 55/60-80 even my Paladins took me longer then that and I had 5 of them. /lol

I was able to do 55-70 in about 24 hours /played and then 70-80 in 2 days. I completed exactly 1000 quests when I dingged 80. :D

From 55-58 I just did the Normal DK starting zone. Then went stright to Outlands and as soon as I hit 68, I went to Northland, I pretty much cleared all ez quests in all zone to hit 80 and soloed a few big group bosses. DKs are really ez to solo most group quests and so it was a breeze. I’m sure I could have shaved off about 1/2 a day maybe more, if when I hit 70, I went back to Outlands and did all of the quests there. I was avg about a level every 3hrs 68-75 and in outlands I was avg 2hrs/a level. So if I ever really want to do a speed run, I’ll have to map things out a little better. :P

I did not use any extra rested besides your normal logging off in an INN and since my daily hours is limited expect on weekends. I only played about 2-3 hours a night and then a ton on the weekends. I went from 58-7o on my first weekend and then 1-2 levels a night till 80. Now I’m going to gear him up in PvP. :P

I also did not level any professions and ONLY used Quest items and a HP Kits on my Head, Hands, Chest, Legs, Shoulds, Feet.

See you in-game :p
