AION – Bots are invading!

September 25th, 2009

Bots are now starting to pop up in AION US as Thsale and other companies have finished their upgrades and testing. They are now pushing out to their workshops and the shop owners and managers are relieved to have a solution to the current power leveler strike.

Now the old problem of who bots and who does not has yet again reared its’ ugly head. As you know we are a hand leveling operation and will continue to do so. Our recommendation is just keep an eye on your toon and see how many hours per day it is played and if any quests are completed. So far the bots that have been released are just grind bots and of the ones I’ve seen in-game are pretty bottish looking. So if you have friends you trust, let them know you are being leveled and to keep an eye on your toon.

Also keep an eye on prices of the site you are thinking of buying your services from. Since we hand level and generally the industry standard for hand leveling prices, if a site is 20%+ cheaper then us. It’s a good bet they are a botting site as we can not complete with botting prices as our overhead is far greater.

AION – The Chinese Revolt

September 24th, 2009

In every RPG I’ve ever played or known, grinding (repetitive action or non-entertaining gameplay) has been how you level your character. Generally you would grind on MOBs or Monsters and gain experience and loot by killing them. One would expect paid professional gamers (aka: Power Levelers) to be used to this type of grinding and understand it comes with the job.

But with recent games such as World of Warcrarft and the release of “The Burning Crusades” and “Wrath of the Lich King” and Blizzards upgrade to their massive questing system, power levelers have become used to easy leveling. Many of the new power levelers have only ever played WoW and do not know what grinding even is. The older and more experienced power levelers remember far too well the glory days of Lineage and Ragnarok and the days it would take to gain just one level.

It seems the Chinese Powerleveling community has started a revolt and many have walked off of their jobs or been terminated because they refuse to play the new and popular AION US Version. The biggest complaints so far from the power leveling community is the “boring and repetitive killing of mobs” . They would prefer to quit or face termination then spend one more hour leveling AION. This is coming from a community of paid professional gamers, in which their job is to “Grind”.

Some of the other complaints have been that they lose XP (Experience Points) from when you die is causing a serious performance issue. Due to location and horrible Chinese backbone internet, most power levelers play with a very bad ping of 500 or more. This causes them to die a lot and some power levelers are reporting almost no progression after a full days shift. You can imagine how upset the paying customer would be to see after 10-12 hours of gaming that their character has not gained one level, to include management paying for the labor.

Now you combine the fact that the power levelers do not like the grinding style of the game, low performance and management and customers yelling at them. Many have decided to walk off the job and quit. This has caused a sudden shortage within the industry which was already over booked due to the unexpected demand for a game just released two days ago.

But don’t fear readers and give your loyal power leveler some credit as the hard core and reliable ones are rallying up for a fight. They are working even harder now knowing that the noobs have “Failed” and given them a great opportunity to show their skills. So if your order is not going as planned, do not give up hope and speak with your company’s customer service rep. Find out what is going on and if there is a new estimated time of completion or what they will do as compensation.

Otherwise, if they are not willing to help you, give me a shout, we can always help you with your toon. :D
