Chinese New Year 2.15.2010 to 2.30.2010

January 28th, 2010

The Chinese New Year is a massive celebration that takes place over 2 weeks in February. Starting the 15th and lasting till the 30th most workshops that supply nearly all of the worlds in-game currency, powerleveling and other related services shutdown. This creates a massive gold shortage for about 4 to 5 weeks. Even now being 2 weeks before the New Year workers are already starting to take vacations and prepare for the celebration.

Over the past several years, we have noticed that most workshops will shutdown and the price of gold will generally triple or even go as high as ten times current value. I highly recommend not buying gold during this inflated time unless you really have too. Over the next few weeks you will see the price of gold slowly raise and then suddenly spike.

Many managers/owners of workshops and gold farming factories will start to stock their gold and say they do not have any creating an early shortage. The purpose of this early shortage is to make a huge profit when New Year comes and there is nearly no gold being produced. This is why I highly recommend buying as much gold as you think you’ll need over the next couple months now!

The market will generally settle back down come mid/end of March. So stock up what you think you’ll need over the next 2 months as right now gold is cheap.
